as was already said, apples to oranges. i use chia more in the morning for fiber/slow burn energy, whey for post-work outs

Most Whey powders are very high in protein, low in fat and carbs. Chia is very high in fat, fairly high in carbs and rather low in protein.

I use both, but for different things. Chia: high in Omega 3 FA’s (anti-inflammatory) while Whey is a dairy product so pro-inflammatory.

Since I love smoothies, I’d probably go with protein powder. I eat & enjoy both though.

Never tried chia seeds but boyfriend had some chocolate mint whey protein that was wicked good.
